Some events

Since our Lt. told us when they’d be kickin’ us outta Section 7 the end of this month, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to become indescribably busy. You know, just trying to fill our canteen before packing up and hauling out.

We watched the sheepdog trials in Midway.

Ba, Ram, Ewe – these are unbelievable dogs!

We’ve had lots BBQs at the house.

This is just one of about 7 other photos much like this. It’s almost an impossible chore to get 5 excited kiddos to all look at you simultaneously for a photo. This was the best I ended up with!

During all that hulabaloo, Casen took the chance and bolted for Reggie’s food – one of his latest obsessions.

Then one of the twinners actually thought he was Reggie

We gave ourselves no time to settle down before packing for our 3 day ‘camping’ trip up the Uintah’s. I say ‘camping’ because Kyle & Rob have hookups with the Forest Service and got us keys to one of the ranger cabins. We had beds, hot & cold running water, electricity and a wood burning stove.

Lots of laziness ensued. Kyle & Rob certainly deserved it, too. They both worked long and hard during the Labor Day weekend Swiss Days craze.

By the way, they don’t tell the wives at the end of the Academy in the ‘spouse orientation’ class that you will probably never enjoy a social gathering as a family again. Kyle has said several times, but especially after Swiss Days, that he has absolutely NO desire to attend. Ever again. Guess when you deal with people’s junk everyday, it’s a little understandable.

Anyway, our trip came not a moment too soon for Kyle & Rob.

Case face adores Rob & Allie.

Just as we were about to leave (note the diaper bag slung over my shoulder), a fish took a nice bite of the bait!

And I reeled in this monster. Really, though, not matter how big or small, there’s not a feeling quite like a fish fighting on the other end of your pole.

All too soon we had to go back to reality.

And Casen went back to eating dog food.

And splashing in puddles.

I know I have a one year old in a walker. All you moms out there, don’t be hatin’. He loves that thing.

You're just kiddin', right? You're not REALLY going to go?

My fav is the pic with Casen alongside his brown brother at the food dish. Such a funny lil' guy.
