Sigh... well this week just started and I'm already having a pity party for myself. Ha ha, it's really not all that bad; Kyle flew out on a helicopter this morning to the deep bear-thriving area of the middle of nowhere for a week. Sniffle. Kyle and his crew were flown in to a very remote area west of here to thin out trees for the week. Yes, there's lots of bears - and him and Kelvin both had close call run-ins with bears last week. SCARY! So here I am a bilateral pink eyed widow for the week. Yes, I came up with this random eye infectin last Friday and by that afternoon it had spread to my other eye. I got some antibiotics while I was at work, and that did nothing. Then I took some allergy medictions - nothing. So today the doctor confirmed that I had viral pink eye and gave me some eye drops that haven't made any difference yet. Sigh again... So here I sit with no husband and burning, itching, pussing, sand paper eyes. However, on a lighter note, I'm going to finally catch up on our latest activities and post some fun pictures! :) Oh, and for those of you who haven't heard yet, I am officially a NURSE now! WAHOO!!! I took my state boards on July 3rd and PASSED! Ok, now to the pics...
This is us on our all day long 4-wheeler ride up on the Monticello mtns. The views were breathtaking and it was fun to be with the Redds. At one point on the ride, Kyle pointed out the general area of where he'd be camping and working this week. Hmmm... wonder if I could get myself to that place... :)

Kyle and I on the 4th just chillin with Clint and Tonya and their fam out on Utah Lake. It was quite the adventerous day - definetly one 4th of July that we won't forget! We had so much fun, though... Thanks CLint and Tonya!

Kyle and I went on a romantic horse back ride while staying with my family over the 4th. I LOVE riding my horse, Polly, and Little Joe seems to like my cowboy Kyle just fine! It was so nice to just get away from everything and enjoy the fields and just have fun talking and laughing.
My parents decided to take the twins on their first fishing trip when we got back with the horses. This is us just goofin off and enjoying the mountains, dinner, company - just the fun of it all!

This is Big Kyle teaching Little Kyle how to cast. Big Kyle and my dad were so patient with the twins. What better people to learn to fish from? I wish I had a handsome man like this one hovering over my back like that! :)

The fishing trip proved to be very succesful. It's hard to see here, but between the twins (mostly my dad and Kyle, really) we went home with 7 little trout. The twins were pretty excited. Neil was waiting at home and he so kindly taught the twins how to do all the gutting and cleaning while the rest of us went to a wedding reception! Good job, Neil! :)
Me and my mom just sat up on the bank and watched all the fishing and took pictures. Don't worry, my mom really does know how to do her hair, it was just windy. :) Fun weekend, it always goes too fast when we visit Manti!

Sorry you're lonely and pink eyed! Neither sound very fun. I hope your week goes by quickly and Kyle returns to you without any bear incidents!
Girl...you need to take it easy, from whiplash to pink eye you better watch out. We enjoyed the 4th with you wish we could have done a little more "boating" haha I'm sorry you are a pink eyed widow this week just think of the great reception he'll/you will get when he gets home. That is always the best feeling, to be held by your husband after a long trip. Love ya!
I feel so bad that you have pink eye and are so lonely! At least you won't infect Kyle while he's gone, not good for you but good for him! I hope you get better and make it through the week!
Looks like you are having lots of fun. Sorry Kyle is so far away. That's hard. Get better, nurse Anna
I LOVE Lauri's hair do!!! :) Tell her she is stylin!
Oh, I wish I could finagle some way to come visit you this week. We should be getting our final sometime this week. So...I'm not sure how that would work. But! I do have another idea! I could call your mom and get your tele number and give you a call!
Yes, I think I will do that.
In the mean time, hang in there. I hope your eye gets better!
Pink eye-what a pain. Hope you get better soon.
Pink eye and lonliness. Didn't I tell you not to do that? Oh well, how could you have a happy homecoming if he wasn't away for awhile? Maybe you could take a before and after picture of your eyes so I can participate in this experience. You have my sympathy and love, as always.
congrats on you test anna! It was way worth it! I'm sorry you have pink eye. That's never fun. I hope you get better soon! oh yeah, Michelly gets home from her mission today. Hopefully we can all get to together and visit like the old days. Love ya!
Anna, Congrats on being an official Nurse. I'm proud of you. Maybe someday I can follow in your foot steps. I'm sorry for you loneliness and sorry for your pink eye. We hope you have a great time at Lake Powell. We Olsen's here that don't get a rash are very envious of you. OH, well like you and your loneliness we will be strong and carry on. PS We will be praying that Kyle will come home unblemished by the bears.
