wonderful weekend!
this weekend was awesome! thursday morning as i got off work, kyle and i headed straight down to lake powell to meet my family who had already been on the lake for a day just sitting on the houseboat. kyle ended up being the hero of the trip! what happened was the boat that my family was taking broke (something about a bearing and crankshaft and some parts that had to be ordered in and wouldn't be delivered for a few days). so kyle came to the rescue by taking a whole extra day of work off to put new tires on our truck, un-winterize his grandparents ski boat, and make some small adjustments on the wave runner. isn't he such a STUD!?! i love that my husband is able to do EVERYTHING! just like my dad - which i am soooo grateful for! anyway, Sam was so nice to let us borrow his truck so we could pull both toys down to the lake. like i said - i worked the night shift wednesday night and the plan was to leave thursday morning. i got off at 6am that morning and was absolutely EXHAUSTED when i got home. kyle had everything packed and he was rearing to go. i SOOOO wanted to sleep for a bit but kyle said 'everyone is counting on us and they are just sitting on the houseboat. we have to go save them.' so he basically told me to cowgirl up and get changed out of my scrubs. i eventually woke up some because i got so excited to go to powell with my family!!! so i took sam's truck and pulled the boat as i followed kyle in our truck pulling the wave runner. towards the end of the trip i got VERY sleepy and had to do some crazy things to keep alert, but we made it there! we had no problem launching the boat and wave runner and found where my family was with the houseboat in no time. then the fun began! of course, i didn't take many pictures, though. i'm sure my mom, becky and elise did a much better job of documenting everything. check their blogs.

kyle is such a good lookin guy, if i must say so! he is also the champion kneeboarder. i'm convinced that if kneeboarding was an olympic sport, he'd bring home the gold medal! but as mentioned above, i have to proof of his mad kneeboarding skills.
my baby never turns down the opportunity to pose. he's such a buff stud! i sure love him! what a lucky and blessed girl i am. he's a wonderful husband to me.

Thank you again for saving all of us stranded on the houseboat. You and Kyle really made the trip a lot of fun for everyone and it was so great to just have you both there also. I like hearing about all kyle's talents that I don't get to see. Thanks for all your hard work and smiles!
Too much fun! We'll have to do it again now. Thanks for the happy memories.
