What a Trooper

Well folks, the time has come for us to join the ranks, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

After a long 14 month wait, the Utah Highway Patrol has asked our very own Kyle man to join their force as a State Trooper!

The beginning of August marks the date he will enter the Police Academy, (along with his older brother, Clint, who is joining the Moab City Police), the 4 month long training in SLC and then we will be making our home in the Wasatch/Summit/Rich county area.

Woot woot! Yeehaw and Hallelujah! Can you just imagine Kyle in uniform? On second thought, don’t try too hard. Only I should be doing that…

So. I’m going to be needing some advice on being the wife of a police officer (Sheena!), living in that area of the state (cousin Katie K, you are the one for this job. We’ve been told that many of the UHP families that patrol that area live in Morgan!), delivering your first baby while your husband is out of town (Elise and AuB), being a widow during P.O.S.T. (Tonya!), and anything else pertinent that would be any help to someone who is just starting a career, a family and a major move!

Thanks to all who have loved, encouraged and buoyed us up through this whole process!

XOXOX
