HI-LO

We got the internet hooked up a couple days ago. It had been over a week since I’d looked at any blogs or facebook or email. So it took me like a bazillion hours to catch up on everything new. It’s nice to be involved in the cyber world again.

Just in the past week this is some of what we have done. Prepare to be amazed at how much 2 people can do in just 7 days…

-We moved out of our apt into the home we purchased. It’s so lovely being in our own home. Even if it is for only 1 1/2 weeks. Monday we will say farewell to Cedar and move to Manti as Kyle prepares to enter the Police Academy the following week.

-Kyle keeps us busy with projects of improvement for the house. He is amazing, really. For example, the shower in the master bath had no light in it. Shaving in the dark is hard. Then one day all the sudden there was a big beautiful recess light! Wah La – just like that, he put in a light. I’m always impressed by his manly skills.

- Kristen, Sasha and my family came down. We went to Tuachann to see Tarzan. It was just ok. Seen much better productions there.

-We spent a day down in Springdale, at the mouth of Zion’s canyon with a bunch of my dad’s cousins. I spent my day plopped in a reclining lawn chair in the middle of the Virgin River with the lady Fisher’s. And I got an awesome tan line on my arm. See below. Kyle and the kids spent their day jumping 30 feet out of cottonwood trees and plummeting in the river below. Afterwards Kyle caught me unawares with the camera. OK, maybe not completely unaware, the first shot was a surprise, this one was like the 3rd attempt trying to get a good picture…

-Kyle had to be fitted for his UHP uniforms in SLC. I played with my awesome Chelsey gal and her Kylee (visiting from Australia!) Oh I just LOVE her! And how bout Kylee’s BLUE eyes?!

-Quick trip to ‘Cello for the big 24th celebration and a rockin’ baby shower thrown by a SIL and ROXY. These were my first days without ‘the boot.’

-The parade was awesome as always. Lots of candy was thrown our way because we had the cutest kids in town and who can resist throwing candy at  to cute kiddos?

-The night before the parade, one of the UHP troopers in town picked up Kyle to go patrol in this old Andy Griffith UHP car. Kyle had a blast driving it and looked pretty good in it to boot!

-A little Toy Story action in the parade. They were a hit!

-The 2 pregos. We sat and slept a lot. Oh, and Kristen did my toenails and they are, of course, purple!

-Love the look of sheer joy as Nixon runs away from scary Uncle Ked

-Mia is a pro T-baller with her pink bat

- Ked gets his 'back ‘popped’ by two very willing girls

-Quick trip to Manti to visit the Doc that will see me for the rest of this pregnancy. Slip n’ Slide fun followed. I did not get involved. 

- Only the tough men could handle the freezing water it comes off the mountain and is stored 100ft below ground in the well. um – no thanks!

- Somewhere in there we did another trip to SLC to pick up Kyle’s uniforms that had to be tailored.

And that’s about all. 

Don’t plan on hearing from me anytime during this precious week as I will be smooching and lovin’ on my man all I can before he marches off to POST next Sunday. Baby C & I will miss him desperately, so don’t bother us for at least 8 days!
